The ChessBOXING Organisation is dedicated to promoting the benefits of integrated chess and boxing training. We use ChessBOXING to promote mental energy, physical fitness and self-esteem. Through ChessBOXING training we embrace a system of continual personal development without limitations.

ChessBOXING Works

ChessBOXING works for the MIND and BODY. Even a single session provides an indelible memory. Training is NON-CONTACT (unless you choose to enter yourself for competition) and you don’t even have to know how to play chess to join in. Most of our members were either complete beginners or novice players when they joined.

“I guarantee ChessBOXING will change your life for the better”: Tim Woolgar, founder The ChessBOXING Organisation.

ChessBOXING offers a complementary skill-set for everyone since the benefits of ChessBOXING are transferable to almost every other sport as well as everyday life.

ChessBOXING training enhances the mind’ s rational potential and helps us to develop an ability to analyse situations more thoroughly. We also learn to recover from setbacks and turn losing positions into winning positions. Chess itself has been adopted by professional athletes as a means of relaxing and achieving mental balance and this can be applied to daily life as well. Boxing is well established as a sport which promotes inidvidual self-confidence.

By integrating chess and boxing we provide a forum for people to play and experience an entirely unique approach to training – it doesn’t matter if you are beginner, average or expert, if you undertake ChessBOXING training you will get better at both chess and boxing and in the process, enhance your life.
